Online Advertising

All Oxford University Press journals have an official website, and these attract thousands of visitors. They can either be subscribers accessing the online versions of the journals, but there are also large numbers of non-subscribers who come to access the many free services available on the websites. Online advertising can therefore deliver your sales & marketing messages to a much wider audience than has been possible in the past.

Banner advertising is available on the Homepage, and Search & Archive pages of each journal’s website. Running a banner advertisement could drive some of the journal’s traffic to your own website, and provides a visible presence to the journal’s users, as they navigate their way around the website.

Another online advertising opportunity is to sponsor an “e-ToC”, which is an email from the publisher sent to all subscribers, providing them with the journal’s Table of Contents just prior to publication. You could run a brief message as the header of this email, which provides a highly effective way of reaching thousands of interested readers.

Other online advertising opportunities available for some journals are keyword sponsorship, where a company name and two product names can be “hotlinked”, whenever they are mentioned in an article published on a journal’s website. We are also introducing dedicated “Careers Online” recruitment areas for some journals.
